Since opening in 1999 and over the years,
we have enjoyed growing our menus and integrating a variety of new flavours
after starting out as a modest pub
and expanding as the demand for delicious food expanded.
The authentic, slow smoked BBQ short ribs, spare ribs, pork shank and pulled pork,
are the superstars of our kitchen.
These meats are slow cooked and smoked in a custom offset smoker
for at least 8 hours at a temperature of 250 F.
Our juicy burgers and home dry aged steaks are also great stars
while the menu also has influences from all over the world.
Every year, we expand our selection of distinctive stand-alone drinks,
selling well-known labels from around the globe
and creating our own custom cocktails.
We experimented with brewing our very own craft beers in 2019, and BEERA was born. What began as a single lager has evolved into four distinct kinds of craft beers,
with more formulas to follow.
In addition to our delicious food and drinks, our establishment is fully air-conditioned and offers a pool table and a dart board as well as numerous TVs you can enjoy all the big sporting events live.
We also have a wonderful beer garden where you can enjoy your food or drinks in a cool and relaxing atmosphere. We provide full access to our different areas as well as all facilities to people with disabilities.

Just recently got back from a week in Malia and I have to say, the Red Lion was our 'go to' place for pub grub and friendly service with a smile ☺. My partner especially liked the cottage pie and I loved the Greek salad (huge portion!) and mash potato Sophie was a gem with her banter and she made us feel welcome every time we popped in. Got free cheesecake on our last day too! Fab-U-lous!!!
The best Restaurant ever, we had the best meals, the best service and the staff was so nice and the prices are so normal. I suggest this one to everybody who want to visit Malia.
Popped in on the off chance for a drink. Ended up having to go back for more drinks & a meal. Gluten Free options in the way of GF Pasta. Wife loved it ! giros Wrap I had was also very nice. English staff member too, looked after us very well. Many Thanks.
